Every now and then a technology comes along that makes you think about the slot. Here is one that makes me wonder what we may be racing in a couple of years time:



This video may however be fake and just a promotion of Wipeout (a video game). It would be cool if it were real though.

There was a train layout not too long ago using the same basic setup, so I assume this is legit. This one is much slicker tho...

They seem to be using liquid nitrogen and inevitably they are having to use protective gloves to handle it.
OK for guys in a lab who understand the safety issues.
Big question mark over making it safe enough for the home set market.
