Too bad it's not real. If they had just shown the ships gliding around the track, I would have believed it, but the controller shown with side/side and forward/reverse pretty much nailed it as a CGI viral video. That's really cool, and the CGI is really well done, but it's faker than something that's really really fake.

very cheesy i agree, but i still think it should be more than possible the controller simply varies the current to the magnets for speed i imagine. heres a more believable vid
a bit more scientific

I like that figure 8 track better than the oval we've seen with the toy train engine. Both work the same way, though.
When we see a video like that showing the vehicle being controlled even forward/reverse by electromagnetism in the track, we'll be one step closer to the Wipeout toy. Before that happens, though, we'll need that left/right control to "change lanes". Right now, it's impossible. In the future, I imagine it will be possible. The question is how long will it take before someone figures those two important requirements out.

Scorpius + magnetic track + in car electromagnets + inductive charging = Wipeoutish type track

As usual I don't see the problem.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Scorpius! Nevermind, then. So, who's the first to build it?
