Remember the F1 MR1 has two wheelbases.

You need to use a thinner axle or it will rub the busses, but you can just about use two settings.

I think that we could soon see a Rokar/LL giving the dominant MR1 a run for it's money nationally. It would make sense for the MR1 runners to co-opt the body for their own ends then...

I don't have an F1 MR-1 so someone else will have to use a LifeLike body and their chassis to see if it works.

I'm waiting on some Tyco axles from LB which seem to have got lost on their way over and then my Mod LifeLike car will be getting built.

I also have been playing with another LifeLike for WHO Mod which has new neo magnets. Whether they are stronger than the original is debatable though. And I put them in in neutral setting too. Anyway, onto the chassis question.

The MS chassis in SWB mode is a fantastic fit for the 240. Far better than the Artin I tried before that!! Photos being taken now.

Et voila!

First we have an Artin F (formerly owned by one Mr Walpole I believe!!)

Next up is the MS chassis (from the Shell Porsche body hence the yellow wheels)

And finally same chassis but with the Porsche Rokar shell.

The body is just sitting on the chassis but it is a lovely fit. Bit of double sided and you'd be sorted.

What about the wide MR1?

My guess would be not, thanks to that oddly long tab one side....

The wheelbase seems to be an issue with the wide MR1. I know it has another setting but my front axle won't fit in the SWB hole!!

Try a Tyco front axle with just the one wheel fitted for now.

Another time. My box of Tycos is buried underneath a collection of other cars! I only have 8 of them and I don't use them much so they rarely come out.

I think it is safe to assume that the wide MR1 isn't practical with the Rokar bodies. Hopefully someone will come up with a narrow MR1 to try.

It's been a slow burn getting somebody to fit one to a narrow Marchon, but it's coming.

2.5g, low and short, it makes too much sense not to try one.

The 934 has that typical Porsche big ass going on, which is why the Datsun edges it. Just.

The length thing only makes sense when you actually have the car in your hand. Then it is really crazy to see how beyond the rear tyres is barely 2 or 3 mm of bodywork. A pair of Autoworld SIII Nascars arrived for me today and the rear overhang on those is huge in comparison. But they are very nice looking cars.

And cheap too! So Mike if you want the opposite of most expensive cars, pick up some SIIIs! They take a bit of skill and patience to get running right but they can be had for under £7 a car brand new.

Well I've ended up buying my most expensive cars this week. Actually it has been a massively expensive buying week as I've bought the following:-

Tomy AFX Turbo Camel Lotus
Tomy AFX Turbo Marlboro McLaren

Yes. I have quit smoking, why do you ask? biggrin.gif

Tomy AFX Turbo Fox Racing Bodyshell
Tomy AFX Turbo Shell Indycar Bodyshell
Tomy AFX Turbo Yellow Firebird
Autoworld Red Baja Beast - The blue one from last week looked lonely tongue.gif
Tomy AFX Mega G Amjet - The blue one

Should have a Tomy Turbo Ferrari to add to that by tomorrow.

I think I need addiction therapy!!
