I still reckon they they to bring back the sparks though .......... Did you not see the Renault and the Williams touch wheels ? Plenty o' sparks. And Webber popping a wheelie was pretty impressive. -------------------- I like to use my track for fundraising events - http://www.slotcartimeattack.com

These guys must have nerves of carbon fibre ......... trying to hold off the guy behind and having to run off through the marbles and dust. Then clean up their tyres and come back for another go and there were so many close shaves. My missus is canny ... she said that Lewis would be third when he was way back trying to pass Vettel; she was remarkably dismissive of the poor nut-jockey on Jenson's pit stop as she said that cost him the race

It shouldn't even be considered. The whole thing is a triumph of greed over morals.

Using "safety" as an excuse is frankly disingenuous - the issue is that a deeply unpleasant, tyrannical and sectarianly-motivated regime is able to throw money at the poison dwarf in an attempt to have F1 paint a thin veneer of respectability over them. And Bernie just goes along with that because it's money, having learnt nothing from the example of apartheid-era South Africa.
If it doesn't happen F1 will hide behind it's mealy-mouhted "no-one could guarantee it was safe" nonsense rather than say what everyone knows which is that during a Middle East-wide push for democracy, Bahrain is rapidly becoming a pariah state that uses foreign troops from Saudi Arabia against it's own populace.
