Stoner, I agree with you (about the car, not the sad, sad bit). The photos are very nice, but too much Photoshopping has been done for them to give any real indication of what the model actually looks like.

Come on GP lets see what you can do ?
Mike

I think if you go to Grahams site (http://www.gp-miniatures.com/) you will find he has an accurate resin body with lots of nice photo etch. If you don't feel up to building it yourself GP will probably build you one for about the same price as PRS - but it will be unique.

Nice looking model but there's no more detail than most everyday slotcars and considerably less than quite a few. Blowing a load of cash on a car with the motor showing in the cockpit and a driver that looks like a 10 year old made it and painted it isn't at all attractive.

But these are obviously made for the wealthy few who will hoard them in glass cabinets, feel a sense of success at buying every single one, and then passing them on for lots more cash on Ebay in a few years.

its got nothing to do with agreeing with me. its the snide! criptic[sacastic] one liners, from dj and alfetta, that brings it down to a personel level and not a discusion on my observations. i can take personel critiscism. john

As a model, this one looks fine to me. Even if it isn't accurate to the very last detail, it still captures much of the spirit of the original car.

Glad to see Slot-it providing the running gear. But a little less happy with size and postioning of the motor.

If you did want to race this - the same guilty pleasure as drinking an expensive bottle of wine that you could almost afford- you'd want a softer motor (say, NC1 specs).

Woah! That type of "language" is not really suitable for a family friendly forum.

Life is too (or should that be "to"?) short for tempers to flair over this type of thing.

And I do know nothing about this version of the Aston Martin.... smile.gif

Cheers,

Philip

Hi,

yes, in a generally way this is a nice looking modelcar. But if you look further one have to say that not only the side vents are wrong,
but also is the shape of the whole nose section and a last the colour (should be California sage) is much too bright. hmmm.

The GP body is much more accurate.

Best regards
Pit
