This is a Re-Post from "Cars" in hope someone has some engines.
My club has raced 3 classes with the RX-41 or RX-81 motors for the last couple of years and seem likely to continue to do so in the future. Unfortunately SCX do not sell these engines as replacements - they only sell Pro-Turbo's which we do not use as they are close to twice as "fast" in rpm's at 14v.

We can get replacement engines from SlotMania (who have been a great resource for us and are highly recommended) but they are not the latest spec Version 2 motors (see Photos at end for examples) and they are relatively expensive at E9/$12.50 an engine including postage.

Now I noticed "many" people are upgrading their new SCX cars with other engines so do any of you want to sell me your new RX-41 V2 (rear wheel drive) or RX-81 V2 (4 wheel drive) motors????? Or do our Spanish friends know where else I can buy the V2 engines????

All suggestions welcome!!

PS. Moderators" I had no clue where to post this so let me know if it is in the wrong place and if I have to re-post it

How to ID the V2 engines:
1. The printed text RX-41 or Rx-81 is larger than on the old version
2. The V2 engines have the magnet held in place by the actual engine casing - note the down turned section in the vent window on the "back"

3. The V2 uses brass ring at end of comm versus plastic on the original engine

Obviously, the V2 motors should not be legal for your club since they are difficult to get and everyone will need to upgrade their existing motors to remain competitive. tongue.gif

I`ve got a couple which only have F1 printed on them. Going from the photo`s, by the type of ring at the end of the comm and the way the magnets are held in, it seems I have one of each (ex Minardi & Jaguar).

You`re welcome to them but if you are in the US, even if you do support probably the greatest football team in UK history, the postage may be prohibitive.

If you`re interested I`ll check out the cost.
