Not seen anywhere else, I present the Second Ostorero offering for your delectation.

They arrived with the Ostoreros (a father and son team)at Nürnberg last Monday, complete with a little black attaché case that remained firmly closed until we (Klaus Holy of Overdrive and I) got Mr Ostorero junior into the bar at the Hotel. A mere Steiner of beer later and the cars were in our grubby mitts...

What are they?

5 imminent and 'oh so amazing' versions of the famous Maserati 8 CTF.

All hand built (also offered in kit form) and bearing the Maserati Logo of the time, which I am told is extremely rare, Maserati DO hand out licenses but not often does this license also include the ability to use the Official Logo.

Eagerness got the better of me as I watched Mr Ostorero senior pull the trigger and set the first of their Maseratis running round the track for the first time ever...

I begged a drive and was hooked within seconds. Smooth, perfect amount of grip (on this track anyway but more on that in another thread) and a joy to drive with or without the magnet.

The full list of race livery and dates for these cars are:

Boyle SPL 1939

Boyle SPL 1940

O'Reilly 1945

Bennett Bros 1947

Corvorado Filippino 1946

With each car different to match the real differences you would be hard pressed to choose the one for you, maybe needs a couple ehh? Full review ASAP, look out for delivery dates in about a month.

Very like real ones, I love the bonnet clips on the O'Reilly one.

This is how real they actually are...

The real Boyle SPL that was stretching its legs back in 1940...

Pictures supplied by Ostorero of an early setup pre production model you have seen.
But not taken of the finished article or a small track test, allow a bit of poetic license huh?

I think you will find them the first on any Slot ar Forum if you want me to be politically correct.

Or maybe also you want to start on the width of the tyres or the colour being wrong?

I'm shallow. I'll take the Ninco Supra's over these, ta.

Probably at a ratio of about 4 to 1 pricewise, too.

Though these Masers are things of great beauty!

I guess that makes you shallow and me cheap.

Mr.M

Oh! And good work Swiss, some lovely pictures for us to ponder over!

No, no critisism of the cars they're beautiful, god knows i've got four of the Watson Offy roadsters myself, sorry force of habit for someone who works in local Government to be P.C. no offence intended or doubts about your ability to obtain some lovely original pictures.
Best Regards
