Hello,
I am new on this forum and also a beginner with slotracing and building tracks, but couple of months ago a few friends and I started to build a wooden slotcar track, 3-lanes. We had this idea for I think 8 years and now finaly we are getting somewhere.

I want to share some pictures with you guys.

Hein

Very nicely done. Hopefully the technical nature of the track allows the racing to be more even in spite of the significant lane length difference created by the inner loop, aka paperclip, design.

It should be fantastic when the grip comes in. Will it be fully landscaped?

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Track is CNC machined out of 12mm MDF board.
The underconstruction looks more heavy than it is, It is a aluminium truss frame wich is light but very stiff. The idea is that the track can be hoist to the ceiling when not in use.

Yeah I know allready about the grip biggrin.gif ., We used some 'medium' grip traction compound and drove with several cars. with a lot of grip this track is superfun to drive!

The track will be with full scenery.

This 70's dunlop bridge is one of the eyecatchers.

That bridge looks awesome --how did you build it?

I have a 1/43 Scale bridge on my track (still too big!!) but it dates from the 90's

Best,

Steve

Looks fantastic and the racing should be pretty even in regards to lane length due to the bridge.

Great looking track , and the Dunlop bridge is awesome!

There have been a number of other bridge/grandstand build threads on bere recently, long may it continue.
