Milan has sent me his new "active suspension" chassis to fit his Ferarri 550 body shell
Like all of Milan products it is excelently made ,lazer cut from pcb and hand assembled .
The chassis features floating body mounts adjustable ride hight and adjustable guide position .No prices have been anounced yet but keep an eye on Milans web site for more info

I will run a full test shortly

This looks very interesting. Is it possible that this could be adapted to fit the very pretty but disappointing Carrera 575?

Steve I dont have the carera car to check against but I dont see why not if the wheelbase matches Milans chassis is about 3 1/8" wbase . If you measure the carrera and let me know the wheel base and chasssis width I'll let you know .Milansother chassis are adjustable for wheelbase and easily trimmed for width so if this one isnt a straight fit certainly the oher type will be adaptable

That looks very nice! I love the engineered approach thumbsup.gif .
About the wheelbase of the Carrera 575, I'm sorry but I wouldn't have a clue about the imperial stuff, but in metric it's about 78.5mm and the width (meassured from outer edges of the tyres) is front: 61mm and rear: 63mm. I've got Slot.It tyres fitted to the rear and they're probably a little wider then the originals, but they still fit within the bodywork. I don't complain too much over the handling of the Carrera, but then again I've cut away about 9 grams of weight from the car, lowered the massive circuit board and fitted Slot.It tyres at the rear... happy.gif

UPDATE.

Milan has just emailed me with the following
QUOTE
"Hi Graham,

The price will be 12 EUR. I have 3 special types of active chassis - for F550, Saleen S7R and Lamborghini GTR. And one universal inline. I'm preparing new photos and articles for my web-page about active chassis.

Milan"

I scratch build, built some good handling chassis from time to time.

But, every so often, a post like this comes along.

Showing just how crude my efforts really are.

As said by previous poster ... a very pretty chassis.
