Digital Info:

SCX - the digital system - Changeover Curve Track
"With this new track section overtaking can be now effected on any given part of the trackset, either on straight or curve sections, adding yet more excitement and risk to digital racing."

Analogue Info:

Seat Cupra GT “Dommo”
"Reproduction of the car driven by the Spanish tandem Ginés Vivancos and Jordi Gené in the 2004 edition of the GT Incorporates SCX latest technology, its Tilting Chassis deserving special mention : it allows taking curves faster and, thanks to the perfect alignment of its new spherical bushings, also a great reduction of the friction effect between these."

Dome Judd “Lammers”
"Reproduction of the car driven by the Dutch driver Jan Lammers for the also Dutch team Racing for Holland in the 2004 edition of Le Mans. Incorporates SCX latest technology, its Tilting Chassis deserving special mention : it allows taking curves faster and, thanks to the perfect alignment of its new spherical bushings, also a great reduction of the friction effect between these."

"This model is specially sought after due to the difficulty involved in representing the numerous sponsors featured in the livery."

Tyrrell-Ford-001
"Reproduction of the Tyrrell driven by the Scotsman Jackie Stewart, initially recommended to Ken Tyrrell, head of the racing team and former racing driver
himself, as a reserve driver. Stewart thrashed the clocked times of the official driver and quickly won Tyrrell’s trust, which he would hold for the rest of his career."

"Stewart’s association with the racing team, for whom he won three world titles (1969, 1971 and 1973) started back in 1968 and, after his retirement, Tyrrell was never to achieve again such level of success."

"Jackie Stewart started his career when he was in his early twenties and became a crusader for safety, leading to the imposition of the use of the safety belt and more reliable helmets."

"His career had a bitter end, for he retired upon the death of his racing team mate during the last test of 1973."

"In 1973 Exin produced the first version of the vehicle that won the 1971 championship, in 4 colours. The bodywork was injection-moulded plastic and the chassis was the same colour, decorated with transfers and equipped with a movable guide designed exclusively for this model."

"SCX has retrieved the original moulds and reproduced the car making only two concessions to modern times only, its tampo-printed and lacquered bodywork.

Just like with former SCX Vintage models, this car has been produced in Limited Edition only, this time of 4.500 units."

More News:

2-Speed Electronic Hand Controller
New model to joint SCX’s range of hand-throttles, that already consisted of 4 different types (infra-red, turbo, speed and PRO), to cover specific needs. In this case, SCX has designed a very practical hand-throttle, specially intended for our little ones. This 2-speed hand-throttle allows the programming of 2 speeds: Junior and Expert.

Expert Speed... for experienced enthusiasts
Junior Speed... for the youngest and/orbeginners

Being able to programme either one speed will be specially useful to stop cars going off the track, which tends to happen quite often, inevitably, due to the beginner’s lack of practice and, most likely, when the little ones take their turn.

Alternating between speeds is actioned by simply pressing UP/DOWN a button located at the back of the hand-throttle. SCX has, again, applied an ergonomic and colourful design.

Trainer 2
This new version of SCX’s Trainer has been updated and improved with SIC technology, that is, SCX Intelligent Control...

Intelligent Speed Setting System
Audible Signal for Fastest Lap
Programmable by Laps

For those of you not acquainted with the purpose of this accessory, its function is to allow racing against the machine, so that enthusiasts can train and improve their level progressively.

Speed Setting System
Trainer 2 will automatically increase or decrease the speed of the
car which it is driving, in order to adjust itself to the pace set by the player.

Audible Signal for Fastest Lap
An Audible Signal will indicate each fastest lap of the player with respect to prior own
performance, thus allowing easy monitoring of improvement

Programmable by Laps
It can be programmed to train for a certain number of laps, up to a maximum of 99.

Trainer 2 may be connected to the tracks simultaneously, together with other SCX accessories... Electronic Speedometer, Electronic Timer and Chronometer, turning training exercises into fun all-round !

Nice Cupra GT!

Is it out already or is this the June flyer on soon to be released releases?

Umm.. well you know what I mean! smile.gif

That training package and controller are also a great idea! I take it they are for the analogue system?

A two direction changeover on curves! blink.gif
Seems to me that SCX are once again one step ahead of Scalex and the others in the digital market. If only it wasn't incompatiable with my existing cars . . . . and therefore useless to me! Come on Scalextric catch-up! mad.gif

Another Le Mans car for my growing collection.

Nice, but I would prefer the Advan Dome and Audi from 2002.

How accurate is the Tyrell in scale and detail? I can see it needs new tires and wheels.

Alberseker - amen to that. I think we've had enough of the moving chessboard liveries now, thanks.

When are they going to re-livery the Opel Vectra???

Ref the Tyrrell-Ford 001.

It's available now in SCX form (Spainish has been out a few weeks).

BUt can anyone tell me if the real car ever ran with race number 17 and if so when/where/photo?

Looking at 1971 Championship results:

South Africa Race no 9
Spain Race no. 11
Monaco Race no. 11
Holland Race no. 5
France Race no. 11
Britain Race no. 12
Germany Race no. 2
Austria Race no. 11
Italy Race no. 30
Canada Race no. 11
USA Race no. 8

Can anyone offer the answer? the 1970 car didn't use the number 17.

thanks
