Racers cars go very well due to the slot.it running gear on both the RTR's and Kits, however being resin as you would imagine they are heavy and performance does suffer a little as a result. Another word of caution to anyone who seriously wants to race one rather than doing a few gentle demo laps is that an "off" can result in damage to a much higher degree than with a plastic bodied car. I suffered a relatively low speed off while bedding in tyres on my 412P at Wolverhampton last week and managed to take most of the front left tab spoiler off the car against the lexan barriers, a plastic car would have bounced off with no damage.
But they do look stunning and they are amongst the best quality finish on any commercially available slot cars.

Zubi - I have one set up with Ortmann tyres and no mag - come over and try it! its about time wink.gif

They are fantastic to run and although they are resin mine is still 99% perfect and gets driven fairly hard.

But to answer beeJay - No they are way off scale sadly, if you want scale fidelity the one you want is the Protoslot one but it needs building of course.

At first glance I thought that first picture was of the 1:1 car. I was scrolling down looking for a pic of the slot to compare with it. Then I realized that the first picture was actually of the slot. Great action photo.
I've been slowing my purchases down somewhat, but I'm going to have to get me one of those.

I am an avid collector of the Racer series, and have many in my collection. I couldn't care less about the scale issue because once they are all nestled together comfortably in there own cabinet, there is nothing to compare against, only themselves.
I will not be hesitating to add these also.

The #21 David Piper / Richard Attwood car, which finished 7th in the 1968 Le Mans 24-Hours, would have been ideal to race against the Protoslot Kit Alfa Romeo 33/2, which finished 4th, 5th and 6th.

The Protslot Kit Alfa's are 1/32nd scale while, unfortunately, the Racer 250 is somewhat larger in size.

The photos were taken by Giacomo of Slot Car Amazing Shot who is also the Slot.it Webmaster. Giacomo takes stunning photos, such as these:-

Kind regards,

Russell
