Fly again
extend their range of new releases and reliveries at an
unprecedented rate this year. We see them breaking into the
Rally scene for the first time this year with a classy
collection of 'firsts' and not a Subaru in sight!
After some persuasion I managed to get the cars from the
display cases so I could give you a 'close up' look instead of
the normal 'at a distance' pics. |

Lets start with
reliveries for a change. First up is another GT40, followed by
the still incredibly expensive but much improved Camera Truck,
this time a SISU instead of the Mercedes. Also note this truck
can transmit to your PC and not just to a Television. Finally
you see the newest Saleen from the Evo Racing range. This
evolution is called the GT02.
In this particular livery it has to be the best of the Evo
racing cars to date, especially for those not into repainting.

I have to say that although I like later versions of the
Porsche Evo'98, the idea that each car in the racing range is
constantly and quickly updated disturbs me to an extent. It
implies that the product is released untested and improved
afterwards. The result is either a large upgrade bill every few
weeks or the fact that very quickly you are competing with
substandard cars. Why not get it right first off?

So, those were the three
that impressed me the most, there were a fair few other
reliveries but nothing that has not been reported before here on
SlotForum.
SO, lets move onto the eagerly awaited new and future
releases..
|
|
|
Due to hit the shops any day now are the great
looking Alfa 147 GTAs, initially in two liveries.. |
 |
|
 |
 |
|
After that comes
another in the Alfa series, the 156 GTA. Certainly better
detailed but will it be able to hold its own with the earlier
Proslot release on the track? |
 |
|
 |
I missed a couple of
the Alfa Romeos, as I walked away two more models were placed
back in the displays after a closed door meeting. I had another
appointment and didn't get back to them. |
|
Following these and
increasingly closer to plain resin prototype models as we go
down are a- Lancia 037, the often promised Porsche 934 and a
Porsche Carrera 6, ALL looking extremely classy! |
 |
|
 |
 |
|
The Carrera seems to
follow the GT40 in having a removable bonnet design, I applaud
this as it allows easy access to the guide and front axle area
without a full chassis removal. |
 |
|
The long
advertised Buggyra for the truck range seems to be STILL in
initial mould production but is looking promising... |
|
 |
|
and
finally... The new Viper. |
|
An odd one
this as at first glance it does not seem too different and the
time involved so far to redo this car seems very long. Here are
some detailed comparison pics so you can hold your old one up
against it... |
