Put me down for a pair. Living in Ireland, I assume I will be ordering from the UK? Or being in the Eurozone, maybe Spain?
These look really good!

Am I the only one thinking it smells like Scalextric cars ?
(DPR, quick change guide, sidewinder 12:36, 4 screw to fix the chassis + 2 to hold what's inside, magnet holes...)

Would that be the worst thing on earth, that a small fledgling company would be smart enough to realize that two out of three sets sold are digital and it would not be a horrible idea to be DPR ready.
I admire people who not only have a great idea, but are smart enough to look for every way possible to make a buck, or a pound, or a euro, or a....
I proudly told my friend and hobby shop owner that he needs to order these when they become available. I just hope there as good as I think they will be!

One difference from Scaley I notice are the brass bushings on the front axle. I just hope that we do not have knurled axles and the bushing have tight clearances on the axles. They look very nice to me, but I hope they do some race liveries. A notchback T/A Stang would be nice.

If we`ve all wanted these cars for ages
how come it took an unknown company to get it underway
I`m sure fly with there sm collection would have tried to produce these ages ago ?
Or carrera who already produce mustangs and chargers!

Youre going to have to add something else to that wish list, I think the genie is about to grant that one. You have two more wishes left. Choose carefully.

Well I'm glad of some street stuff .... there's loads of racing cars out there. Yes I know racing's what slot cars are for, but we don't all race them ... there are a lot who just collect and display. I wouldn't mind a nice Mk1 Capri, but Carrera's version is all wheelarched and spoilered out.
Take the magnets AND the motors out for me. I'm looking forward to these first two releases.

Have you heard of diecast?

Yep, but not much in 1:32 scale. Plastic is better than die-cast anyway.

It's always good to see a new enterprise setting up. From what one can see of them the cars look good. The only thing I would add for non-magnet racers - and I'm sure there are some of us left - is that fixed front axles don't work as well as floating front axles (which can still support the car - they don't have to be like old Scalex ones, bouncing along pointlessly in the wheel arches), and taking those bushes out and fitting verticals for the axle to float in is a bit tedious. Are they definitely going to have the front axle bushed?

As a shelf collector I feel I must distance myself from the comments of MzB! Il keep the motors and magnuts in please! (I collect diecast as well as slots)

Hi,
Aerodynamic:
The front axle is not fixed hard into the bush retainer. There is a small amount of movement built in via an elongated bush retaining channel. It works well on the proto model and the models handle very nicely. We needed a system that didn't fix the axle in solid but still allowed for axle and wheel changes (by firmly easing out with fair pressure) without having to bust off a plastic wheel to withdraw an axle.
Take the magnet out and the results on plastic track are predictable and entertaining.
Hope that clears that up.

Whoosh Mr Pioneer well done. I usually set my non-mag cars up with about 0.5-0.75mm of front axle float, looks like youve done the work for me. Looking forward to a few laps.

I was making an analogy. Everyone else was moaning about certain aspects of a new product without any having actually been made yet. No one ever seems to be satisfied yet all prefer to tweak anyway. I make a positive remark about street cars and get trounced for it.

I'm looking forward to these as well. I'm not old enough to be a big fan of the show they were based on, but I DO like more street cars, and having a normal looking driver at the wheel will be a plus for me as well. I like car racing, but I'm not a huge fan that I can only imagine cars with numbers and sponsors all over them. Nothing against them, but sponsored racing isn't the only thing nice cars do.
If these make it to my local hobby store, I'll probably pick up a set.

Thanks for the info, Jules, it sounds like a very good design. Can you tell us if the axles are knurled and what the diameter is?
