Here is a 1961 Marx set with the brass rails and early controls. This was the 1st train slot car set made in the world . The 2 cars have brass gears and a blade guide not a pin. But Marx in 1938-39 did make a race car- train set all electric and tinplate. So they made 2 car train sets before...

Here is a HO Marx Corvette. Most people think 1962 was the 1st year of Marx HO cars but it was not. This car was made in 1961. The difference is the brass gear and the Blade guide not a pin guide. These 1961 slot cars with the blade guide are rare. Also early HO 1961 Marx trak had brass rails...

Here is a rather rare 1/24th scale Policar 300 SP set made in 1967. I got the set without the cars but I had the correct cars already. The set never came with a transformer. It is a huge box and not in the greatest shape. But it is a important set to have for the museum. I have not seen one so...

Here are 2 rare trophies awarded Japanese slot car racers in the 1960s. I added cars that might have been the winners to show scale. The 1st is a very rare trophy with ribbon in a very nice box by Marusan. It says "Award" at the top and Marusan below. I put a 1/32nd scale Marusan Toyopet Crown...

Here is a set I got recently. It is a Troby set from France made in 1966. It is called 1,000 Miles . I believe this was the 1st set they made. It has 2 1/32nd scale Lotus 18s in it. It uses the same controllers as the HO set they made. While not in mint shape the set does not come up very often...
