Just wondering what other Clubs are racing in 1/24 scale races?

We are racing in my club:

-Scaleauto with the 8000 chassis,Sprinter, Sprinter2 or Endurance motor, foam tires
-Mini Z with Momo chassis, SRP25, foam tires

We use Scholer, Slotting Plus, Scaleauto , Plafit or 2Naste. All are similar in that bodies rock on H bracket. Proslot 16d motors used on most classes but we have one class that uses Hawk 7. Below are images of a typical chassis and images of cars in several classes we run. Note the custom cut front and side pans (these work very well to improve handling with more powerful motors). These cars are run on my 4 lane wood track (see image below)

The track and cars look great!

What's the average weight of these cars please?

Just out of curiosity. Are you Rich?

Cheers,
Ken
I am Rich in name only. All cars weigh in the neighborhood of 250 grams (The exception being smaller bodies like the 917 etc which weigh a bit less)

Thanks all,
Some may think that the 250 gram weight is high. It may be if the cars were run on a commercial style track with very wide turns. My track's long straight is about 12 feet and inside turns radius to the slot is only 12 inches for most. Lighter cars do not handle as well in the tight turns and the weight is not too high for a 12 foot straight. We have found that the chassis configuration with full side pans and a front pan having a 250 weight is about optimum
Slammers is a new class of racing at Electron Raceway. See the link below

Lovely! I have a few different metal chassis cars my self. I like Plafit, a lot more accessible here in Australia than those others you run !
Cheers,
John.

We also race IROC classes. Here are some examples:

IROC Classes 1/24
Here is one I did with a Carrera body and a Plafit chassis, this body was more suited to the flat body mounts!
