Race Report on the nights action:-

With Keith returning after a long layoff 13 of us got ready to race 1/24 Falcon sports which is always exciting (carnage). I don't usual mention the qualifying but it was a very close affair with the top 7 all within 4/10ths of a second of one another. In the"D" final was Dave, Josh and James, Josh took the lead after borrowing a car from Sue after he had broken a lead wire in the warm up and although he won he had a scare after he kissed the barrier and fetched the motor out of Sue's car so he had to go back to his old one but it was not as fast but none the less had a great battle with Dave although (as he kept reminding us) had only one good rear tyre and James who was not really in the hunt in third. In the "C" final was Rich, Frank and Geoff, it was Geoff who took the lead in the 1st segment with Rich only 4/100ths behind him and Frank who was not having the best of nights 3rd, Rich then began to pull away from Geoff and Frank and that was how it finished. In the "B" final was Sandy with a car borrowed from Brian, Terry and Sue who had to borrow Josh's car.Sandy was in devastating form to power away from the other two to win leaving Terry and Sue who never got to grips with her borrowed car in second and third. In the "A" final was Keith, Brian,Greg and Simon, when you consider that there was only 1/10th of a second difference between all four it was always going to be a hard fought battle,Brian was in the lead after 2 segments by 1/4 of a lap from Keith and Greg was 1 lap down on Keith with Simon 2 laps down on Greg, Brian then had a stinker of a third stint and Keith took the lead which he never lost and Greg also passed Brian for second place with Simon still fourth, by the end of the race Brian had got his second place back from Greg by 1/2 a lap and Simon was fourth. Drivers of the night go to Keith for a really good drive and also Geoff for his first time racing 1/24 (i think). the top three were Keith, Brian and Greg.

See you all next week Sandy xx
