Hi,here's a 1/24th scale white Ok Kader Ferrari F1 from Hong Kong. This is the later model. I show it next to a more common(but still very rare ) red one. The engine ,drop arm, wheels,& guide are all updated. This is a very rare car. Thanks,Bernard

Bernard has this Ferrari F1 anything in common with the Cox Ferrari F1 slotcar body wise?

Interesting Bernard - they seem to have changed motors between the two versions! And the second one is very similar to a "Rikominx" - not at home so can't check, but it may be the same HK built motor.

I know about the 1/24 OK Kader cars, but they ain't easy to find!

Don
This is the listing of the 1/24 scale OK Kader cars I know of, Bernard might be of some help to add to that:

KADER 1/24 scale RTR (IB) Kader Industrial company Ltd, North Point, Hong Kong

Issued 1965

Scarab MKI RTR
Willard Battery Spl RTR
BRM F1 RTR
Ferrari 158 F1 RTR
Lotus 30 RTR
Ford GT Roadster RTR

Any other?

Here's my somewhat incomplete Lotus 30, missing windshield, etc. and the body is rather scratched up. But it's a fascinating suspension chassis, somewhat similar to the Tamiya.

The question for me has always been: what market was OK Kader shooting for with these cars? Don't think I've seen any in the States, and they don't seem common in England or Australia either...

Where did you find yours Bernard and Philippe?

Don, the motor is bigger than the Rikominx. I found my 1/24th Ferrari in Germany.

I found some in the US,UK,Australia ,& Peru. There are some that were made we still have not located. They are the best slot cars made in Hong Kong. Here's some of what I have. Several are very rare. These are the HO AMX 1& 2 from Peru. The 1/24th Ford GT Roadster. The 1/32nd Ferrari 158. The white 1/24th Ferrari 158. I have the HO Aston Martin and the HO corvettes which are sealed shown here in their sets. There are some other sets which are the same as these but have a different box art. There is also a 1/24th Offy which exist in the LA Museum. and which I don't have but want.

Nice shots Bernard! One of the more diverse manufacturers.

They also did a set with one Cooper and one Aston Martin!

Don
I've never seen a Ford GT like that. It is actually a nice shell though. It looks vaguely familiar...

The Spyder Ted?

Looks like they just put the Lotus 40 exhaust and intakes on it! Unless Bernard found it that way, done by somebody else.

Rather "interesting"...

Don
Yes,I knew it was meant to be the Spyder- give me some credit- its still nothing like it. Apart from the exhausts- which do look like they have been pinched from the Lotus-there is no rollbar/fairing. Still looks nice.

The Ford GT exhausts are the right ones. The exhausts did come that way. The windshield I don't think is. Bernard

Actually it is a copy of the Eldon model.
I think more than one 60s slot product was named Groove Buster!

I can think of quite a few, even in products made today...
