Everyone has their list lurking about in the back of their minds...

Your has some possibilities:

AMC Javelin - What year? Pioneer is going to release a 1970 TransAm racer, and it wouldn't be outlandish to think a normal street version would be too far off. RMS Resins does an excellent 1968 TransAm racer bodyshell designed for a Scalextric TA Mustang. It would require a little reworking, but is easily within reach. Revell also did a 1/32 Javelin. Turns up on the 'bay from time to time.

Plymouth Cuda - Which year? Carrea did a 1970 with the shaker scoop. RMS does TA versions of the 1968 and 1970 AAR. SCX does a 1970 AAR Cuda is many a racing livery. Again, a little work required, but if you've done 300 F1 cars, you don't sound like you'd be averse to the effort.

Datsun 240z - Arii does a 240z model in 1/32. Turns up on the 'bay. It does have a front spoiler not everyone finds attractive though. Scalextrics did a 260z many years back if that is close enough for you. Mostly rally type liveries I believe, but you could paint and detail one to a street spec.

1) Morris Marina GT Fastback.

But it would need an opening boot (trunk) to allow me to put a couple of breeze blocks in (concrete building blocks) to make it less tail happy - just like the real thing!

2) Marlin roadster (pretty little UK Kit Car that has lasted in production for decades) - it's a bit like the old Alfa's from the 30's with running boards, big headlights but modern running gear (current version can use BMW 3 series as a base).

3) Routemaster double decker bus - just for the sheer lunacy of the idea and the challenge of getting it to go a whole lap including my 2 R1 hairpins without deslotting!!!

Hi there all....

Mr Modifier..... Might not be a "Routemaster" double decker bus, but this one is being converted for the track at the moment..

As you say, should be very intresting on the corners (and bridges)....

I will post some more photos when completed...

All the best.. Martin...

That's pretty close to the Routemaster and much more characterful than the square fronted ones with hydraulic doors.

What scale is it? It looks more 1/43 than 1:32.

As near as I can tell, its much closer to 1:32 scale than 1:43. probably around 1:35.. But hey.. what does it matter, Its something "different" and great fun...
The Scalextric Mini in front gives the bus a smaller look than it really is.
Anyway, it should make for some intresting and fun driving on the track....

I do have another one, so "Double Decker Bus Racing" could be a possibility, now that would be "Crazy"....

All the best.. Martin.

Double Decker bus racing would be awesome.

We have fun racing 6 transits on my track but Double Deckers is a whole new level!

Are they easy to get hold of? Where can we get them? I would love to build a few and chip them!

John - you will probably have better luck finding them on Ebay if you search for Carrera. Ninco haven't done any Group 5 cars yet as far as I know.
