Now that is funny. Isn't she just the coolest thing you had every seen? I like to think I know quite a bit about what is out there as far as can-am cars and have most if not all, but I have never seen this one before. I love the front spare tire. USRRC?

Sick minds think alike LOL!

Note to self: ask Stubbo and Joel what THEY are bidding on!

Yep, pre-cursor to Can-Am

Since there were very few (if any) 1/32 scale McLaren-Elva vac bodies in the day, I guess this shape was made from a 1/24 scale, pantographed down to the 1/32 scale by one of the many talented enthusiasts in Germany?
Looks awfully like a reduced Russkit body...

Why repop it? George turner has one in production that will blow the doors off that casting... and it comes with the windscreen driver and chassis

The gentleman I received the MI from thought it was a classic body. Don't think so. And I did get the windscreen. I agree with you TSRF It sure reminds me of a 1/24 as well.

The body is 13cm long. 5cm wide. with a 7cm wheelbase. So it is larger than the stormbecker bodies.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my new toy.

Hi
I dont think it is a classic body as charlie doesn,t list one
he certainly does a zerex cooper special ,and A mclaren M1b which was the slightly more curvy body than the M1a with design input from the artist Michael turner apparently
never mind the wind tunnel ,get an artist in

cheers tony

Hi Tony,
Actually Classic do make an M1a.
They list them as McLaren Elva MkI or MkII on the same line.
The MkI is an M1a and the MkII is an M1b.
The body that is the subject of this thread is not the Classic version.
Cheers.
Mick.
