Sounds like a good price to me.

With regards to the chipping ...... it very much depends on what motor it has. Can you open it up and post some pictures with any markings on the can.

All the best - Greg

QUOTE (Rhosneigr Gaz @ 8 Dec 2011, 21:11) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>OK stupid me has just made my first 100% uninformed car purchase on a whim!!!!

Purchases are far more fun that way!

I had my eye on the same car on eBay but the bank manager said "no more cars until after Christmas" so no bid from me. I'm jealous - a great deal you've got there.

(If you're in the least bit unhappy with it, I'm more than happy to offer it a good home

That depends if you want something that looks like a Renault 5 or not.

I'd have been happy with that purchase.

Certainly a lot happier than I was with a brand new Avant Slot Pescarolo that cost me over £30 and then probably another £40 in several attempts to get it to stay on the track.
That was a lesson:- I won't be buying any more Avant Slot cars.

Actually a jag and F40 in that condition would cost you at least a tenner each on evilbay - probably more if they really are as mint as they look. I like the Jag.

Renault's market research showed that there are loads of 'Numptys' out there.
So they bashed out the 5.

It won't impress anyone, untill you get those nasty Rally decals off it...
...spray it a horrible metalic colour (anything cheap from Halfords)...
...and fix the LED's underneath & on the rear shelf.

Get those mods. done; & I'll give you a fiver for it.

Si.
