If you mean FAO Schwarz in New York, when I visited NY at the beginning of December FAO had only a couple of Scalextric Sets, I think the Indy 500 and another which may have been a Crash and Bash Set.
New York is rubbish for Slot cars, managed to only find a small shop called the Red Cabose (on a side road off of Times Sq) but it had a couple of Carrera sets and some bits of track - no cars!
I understand for some decent Scalextric stores you need to go outside NY.
