As requested. Ive also included a photo of some of the manufacturers cars from around 1958-59 same time as this catalog & news letter so you can see the 3 Scalextric cars among their competition. For fun,can you identify who made these other cars ? Thanks,Bernard Sampson

Many thanks for the early Scalextric documents, Bernard.
In your photo, the green Austin-Healey and red MGA, on the top left, and the red A40 and blue frogeye Sprite in front of them may be VIPs.
The green #7 in the lower right looks rather like a Crescent diecast BRM V16 that I used to have (and hope I still have somewhere). People did motorise 1/43 diecasts, and at least one SlotForum member, Tom W, still does that, but if your cars are all proprietary slotcars, Bernard, it's presumably something else.
I'll be interested to hear what the Alfa 158/159 is. The only one I recall from that period was a vac shell by MRRC.

Hi Rob,you are right about the VIP cars.
The green # 7 is by Welkut. The Alfa Romeo in the back is actually a handbuilt wood bodied rail car,not built by a company. (I just had to slip 1 hand made rail car in the group.)
What about the rest ? Thanks,Bernard

Hi, thanks for sharing this documents about the earlier scalextric times, I am from Spain, and I'm trying to put some light about the first imported U.K. scalextric sets with rubber tracks.

Best regards
Eduardo.
