Fairly quickly thrown together for a proxy race, so here it is warts & all. The resin body shell is from Ranch Design, the chassis is from a SCX Compact NASCAR . Got some lint in the paint, and the decals were problematic, but that's racing, i guess

The front end looks a little odd, maybe a bit too square, and the trim spear is way too huge but it does capture the overall proportions,

This is the car I learned to drive with back in '63. The trim and style lines on the side and roof need some help but still a fun car body. Good looking but ..... I have been looking for this and a '70 Maverick because my parents and I ordered one new April 17th of '69 and my first car.

Good effort.

Is that a double braid or my eyesight Datto? If so, is that common?

About the braids, actually the contacts aren't braids at all, it's a stripped section of the lead wire looped trough the guide flag. At this scale braid can make the front end stand off the track like the car was doing a wheelie
