Just to say that I haven't given up on my project. It gets sidelined. Here is the Brabham BT26. I have had a little time on my hands these lat few days so have started on this one.

Now I have to buy some wheels tyres and guide. Also finish the body. I'll get there eventually.
7 completed, 3 in the process and 6 yet to be started.
It will be a while yet.

This is how I get sidetracked. Too many at one time.

The number 10 is incorrect should be (15) still work to do. The P133 is Pedro Rodriguez (No4) and the other 126 is Piers Courage (No16).

A little more progress today but that's it for the next week or so. Needs correct tyres the addition of the anti-roll bar and shock absorbers + decalling and detailing.

I've done it again, got sidetracked into finishing my Aston Martin DBR4. I know it isn't up to the accuracy or quality of the PP version . However I have the satisfaction of having carved and cast it myself. I did use a PP chassis and wheels so not all my own work.

Whilst waiting for a few parts for my 68 cars I thought that I could have a shot at making the exhaust for a 62 BRM P578. well I've made a start.

your chassis in the first pics looks very interesting . But how will fit the body on it ? I can`t see any mounting holes

.

The mounting hole is just behind the front axle and just in front of the hinge. The chassis is a spring fit into the body so only needs one screw to locate it.

If you are going to use rattle cans , Ian H , that wizard of the Tyrrells , recommends Ford Electric Blue for the Matras.

Thanks for the info. I use an airbrush and the French Blue has been applied for the first coat. Now I must curb my impatience allow it to dry thoroughly, rub it back and continue the process. I will post the success or failure

Matra blue is Ford MONZA Blue as advised by Dave Wisdom.

I have done what I should have done in the first place, namely experiment with mixes. I have acheived a passable colour. Without putting it alongside the actual colour I don't think I can improve.

I had a good honest appraisal of the Cooper T86B that I carved and have come to the conclusion "It's carp" So I have rtaken one of Charlie Fitzpatrick's BRM P126 and altered it.

Shortened the Nose section

Removed the Oil tank and replaced it. Opened up the cockpit.

Filled in the front suspension openings and alter the shape of the eyebrows. lowered the rear top link and added a peice to the rear bodywork.
So have made a start.
