I don't know the provenance of the HIGH grip tyres, but the MAX grip tyres are marked (36c) which is the Ortmann code for 1970s Scaley F1. That being the case, maybe better to go to RS Slot Racing where they're £2 less a pair.

I leave mine on... the cars are set up as tricycles so they don't touch the track, and if they do then the less grip the better!
