Hmmm, Nuro made me think when he recently murmured,
"These cars aren't very good racers...,"
as I handed him a loaner for a Fly heat at our club (I was in the heat too, so kept the Lola 98 for moi!). So I took mine apart last week, removed the little spacer that sits under the mugnut, eased the movement of the front spur axles a tad and gave her some hours of gentle running with the rears in the air.
She's quite a flier now. I've yet to run her up against a particularly well sorted Venturi that runs at Ramsden but I'm pleasantly surprised and quietly confident she'll not be blown to the weeds.
