The 2004 World Proxy Race rules are now posted at:

http://www.geocities.com/h_m_c_c/index.htm
This one is for sedan based silhouette cars cars. So now you all have a project to fill in the holidays!

This will be first of two proxy races to be conducted next year. The second will be for Sports /Gt cars built during the 1950's. Rules for this one will be posted in the new year and will be conducted later in the year.

Merry Christmas all.

Thank for that Chris, most people should be able to close the pop ups.
Russell: I hope next year is a better year for you and you can manage to send an entry. Rhys Filbee has been bust creatinga mould of one of the Jags. I have not seen it as yet . I am bust convertinga Pontiac with big gaurds. These type of cars look great but I thnk we will be busy fixing rear wings back on!

Phil
Turismo: Certainly hope you can get an entry organised,it would be nice to have some other Aussie entering beside us guys from the Southern Island. What typr of track do you normally run on up in the centre? If you need any help jusy let me know.

Phil :
Chris: Adrian has managed to Import some kits from Hobby Link ,and he and several others are converting them to Sports Sedans with the big gaurds etc. Dave B is also going to run a Supra or one of Rhys's resin Jags.as for me I am working on the pontiac. Greenman has a nice looking Audi underway to suit last years chassis.

Phil
Graham: Good to see that your chassis is on the way,are you building two cars this year? What body are you running? I have one chassis cut out ready for assembly. Several of our guys picked up bodies last night and also got bits to build their chassis's.

Phil
Graham: Have had the same problem witha couple of bodies that I was looking ar using. But by adding side skirts it is easy to increase th height a few mm and the car still look right.

Here is a link to some of the Tassie Cars that will be entering the World Proxy Race.I will post more pics soon.

Remember that the cars have to be at Chris Brigg's by March 15th.
I have added a few more pics of Adrians lexus at:

http://home.iprimus.com.au/kalbfellp/hmcccars.htm

His car and Dave Bantoft's hada test run last night.

Phil
Graham: The three cars that I have tested down here are about 1 to 2 tenths behind last years cars at this stage. Probably due to the narrow rear tyres, that is about a little faster than Gregs BMW from last year. Hope that helps.

I have posted some more pics at:

Looks like only six tassie Entries this year for the US races and one from newcastle near Sydney. Terry newsome a 1/24 racer is busy trying to finish his car.

Phil
Hobart Miniature Car clubs six entries can be seen at: http://home.iprimus.com.au/kalbfellp/hmcccars.htm

Phil
Erling: glad that you managed to get something finished. Looks good, I hope it goes as good as it looks, can't wait till they all arrive here for us to demolish!

18th May is the tentative date for the start of our 4 rounds. will advise once it is all settled.
Great to see that Erlings cars is the fastest import, even if it is a Briggs design. Watch out Chris, Erling seems to be able to pull out some very good race results.

phil
Chris: I still remember THAT 2 Litre BMW. I was only looking at the pics last week and thought how far we have all come with chassis building. Those inline cars were very basic.

World proxy entrants:

We are trying to finalise the dates for the Aussie races, any one wanting Vivtor to forward their cars on to us in tassie should contact him and organize payment for postage and also organise spare tyres. Provided the cars do not require and major repairs this may be the best option as we would likt to have the first race on the 18th April.

Phil
OOP's May is would be the first Aussie race, bit hard to race at Victors and down here in the same week! Owing to the UK cars being home sick and wanting to return for a visit the 18th May might have to be changed to allow these cars to be repaired.

Phil
Alan: You would have sent Chris an entry form so all the info we need will be on that. Only people who did not enter Chris's race need to complete an Entry form. I have not uploaded our form yet but Chris has one on his site.

We are trying to avoid duplicating things.

Phil
I have started a new World Proxy Race web site area at:

http://home.iprimus.com.au/kalbfellp/intro.htm

This will have all the collated points from each race and links to all the sites.

Please be patient this will evolve as time permits.
