The first round of Ninco GT saw some great close racing in all three heats. In heat 3 Martyn and Steve both posted personal best times, and Steve was only robbed of a higher overall position by a cruel off out of reach of the marshal's. Heat 2 was an epic three way battle between Russ, Mike & Reece, with Russ coming out on top by only 3 seconds from Reece and Reece beating his dad
by just over 1/2 a second! A couple of offs in heat 1 saw Ben finish second to Phil while Chris pushed me all the way, only losing out by just over a second.

All in all some good races with car prep much better than the first round last year - remaining races should be good.

Cheers,

Keith

A great night's racing, and PB's for me and Ste! Now I can see why the Mosler is so popular.
Boooooodiful setup Phil F, thanks.

Not a single car hit the floor all evening, although at some points in the evening, it was less "Days of Thunder" and more "Blue Thunder"

(are we going to play "get your choppers out" next time?)

Ste, are the right points being awarded in this last PHP script?? Shouldn't Ben have had 20 points for his second in the first round? Or am I off on a tangent again?

EDIT**
Nah, got it wrong, I also made a mistake in the Classic GT results, I gave 16 points for 3rd, not 15. Grrrrrrrr.
Just took this from the FIA site. My mistake, sorry Ste.

The top ten finishers in each Grand Prix score points towards both the drivers' and the constructors' world championships, according to the following scale:

1st : 25 points
2nd : 18 points
3rd : 15 points
4th : 12 points
5th : 10 points
6th : 8 points
7th : 6 points
8th : 4 points
9th : 2 points
10th : 1 point

What a great evenings racing! Some fantastic heats with very entertaining 3 and 4 way battles being played out. Didn't realise Jon was such a gymnast - only his dismount after the bridge retrieval Tsukahara preventing him scoring a perfect 10.0

I was genuinely astonished to see I was only 2 seconds better than round 2 - it felt so much more relaxed and in control last night. Really did enjoy myself.

Was quite surprised to see I was a full minute slower in rounds 2 & 3 using a car i prepped compared to round 1 where I had a loaner. It just goes to show how much of it is in the setup. Ah well, hopefully I'm learning as I go.

The fiat500 dash was great fun, even though I couldn't drive the damn things!

well done all for giving me such an entertaining evening out whilst I was feeling as rough as nails.

1st Chris 12 25 15 52
2nd Keith 15 18 18 51
3rd Phil F 25 25 50
4th Ben 18 15 33
5th Ste 1 12 12 25
6th Phil B 4 10 8 22
7th Reece 8 10 18

Nice and close at the top of the table, however with the lowest score being dropped Phil F is in the strongest position having already missed a heat.

Isn't that called a "Bastin", Keith? Or did he get off the starting line before the wheel overtook him?

Very brave of you all to venture out on a night like tonight!
