a) A cover charge of £2 per evening is payable.
Club doors will open 7pm prompt.
c) On Championship nights racing will commence 8pm prompt.
d) On practice nights timed practice will NOW commence from 7.30pm.
e) Safety First;
i) Under 16s are not permitted into the kitchen area.
ii)Under 16s are not permitted outside the club room without an adult.
iii)Members are not permitted to wander through the NERC workshops.
iv)NERC(S) is a busy club. You fully recognise this & enter at your own risk.
f) The competitor with the most points wins the championship in which they are competing.
Points awarded are; 4 points for 1st, 3 points for 2nd, 2 points for 3rd & 1 point for 4th.
g) All results & championship standings will be posted on;

h) Each race will have a maximum duration of 2 minutes.
i) Any car de-slotting FOR WHATEVER REASON is out of the race.
j) No competitor can swap or change a car situated on the starting grid unless they have permission from the chief marshal.
k) 360 degree cars are banned.
l) Competitors are not allowed to change existing stock chassis, bodies & interiors for alternate lightweight versions. Where interior glass is fitted it must remain insitu.
m) The use of plastic & resin kits/self build cars on a brass or plastic chassis is positively encouraged by NERCS.
n) No wide wheels which overly protrude the body, or where changes to the body/chassis has been made to accomodate such wheels are permitted.
o) Competitors MUST ensure that their cars have adequate ground clearance at all times.
p) No exterior ballast allowed.
q) 22k max motor. De-tuned motors permitted across all classes.
r) Kevin Owens & Ron Hargreaves reserve the right to automatically ban any device not listed in these regulations which may give a competitor an unfair advantage on the track , or proves to be unreasonably expensive for most NERCS members to obtain.
s) Any member of NERCS may volunteer their services to be race marshal for an evening.
i) The marshals decision is final.
ii) The marshal makes the lane draws.
iii) The marshal shall award points & record results.
iv) The marshal reserves the right to scrutineer any car. He/she can order any car off the grid and can strike off points awarded.
It is the competitors responsibility at all times to ensure compliance of rules.
v) The marshal can disqualify any car which he/she feels has an unfair advantage.
t) The classes we run on main championship night are as follows;
i) Pre-1980 Classic Saloons.
A pre-1980 touring, rally or production car.
With the exception of the rules above competitors can alter running gear ect. as they see necessary.
ii) Post-1980 Saloon Cars.
A post-1980 touring, rally or production car.
With the exception of the rules above competitors can alter running gear ect. as they seee necessary.
iii) Pre-1980 Classic Sports Cars.
Pre-1980 LeMans/endurance or production car.
With the exception of the rules above competitors can alter running gear ect as they see necessary.
iv) Post-1980 Sports Car.
Post-1980 LeMans/endurance or production car.
With the exception of the rules above competitors can alter running gears ect. as they see necessary.
v) Pre 1968 Formula One.
Any model representing a classic open wheel single seater WITHOUT wings.
RTR cars must be kept standard without alteration.
STRICTLY NO PERFORMANCE PARTS OR TYRES from any manufacturer permitted.
No parts shall be stripped from the car to make it lighter.
You are allowed to add interior ballast.
You can use a de-tuned motor.
NERCS positively encourages the use of kit & self built pre-1968 F1 cars on a brass/plastic chassis. However, please keep to the spirit of the class by only using standard Scalextric (or similar non race tuned) running gear.
vi) Formula One.
Any model representing a modern open wheel single seater. A1GP, Indycar & F1.
STRICTLY NO PERFORMANCE PARTS OR TYRES from any manufacturer permitted.
No parts shall be stripped from the car to make it lighter.
You are allowed to add interior ballast.
You can use a de-tuned motor.

We are just a small amateur club & whilst a bit competition is nice to see, enjoyment is the name of the game for us.
When new members come in remember how you felt on your first visit, & make them welcome!
Things can also go wrong from time to time. When they do try not to grumble too much. Quite a few NERCS members put a lot of effort into running this club & they do have feelings.
Please stick to the spirit of the 2012 rules just as you all did during the 2011 season.
