just to keep warm in this cold winter, here is a shot of a Strombecker Ferrari Testarossa taken last year at the Double Trouble meeting in Wellingborough.
I don't remember the driver, but it suit the ECA rules so ... he's welcome to Italy !
Also Cobras race at the Targa in the Sixties. This one was seen last year in Roncole driven by Phil Smith. Nice and fast. Any trim is acceptable, but a repro of a real car score more points at the Concours ...
my choice for 1/24 is a Ferrari 250 GTO from K&B with Super Challenger motor. Enclosed two shots from the start. Real car is #118 driven by Clemente Ravetto - Getano Starabba. My reference is www.targapedia.com - photogallery - 1965. Body is under total restoration. Holes for lower square headlump has been filled with balsa insert. As the original numbers were all painted by hand during scrutineering, I'll to do the same (!). So no decals. Hopefully.
More news during progress.
