Very nice. Have you used the repro monogram chassis? I suppose it still has the static kit weight for the aerofoil? Is it the US issue only?

Yes,I just glued the motor directly into the Plastic Chassis/Tub/Pan.I cut a hole for the Gear,Glued Brass tube in front and rear to hold the 1?8 axles, and dropped a TSRF guide in the front. The whole operation took about an hour from the box to running on the track.

It probably is only US issue.I hope to have a couple of cartons in soon.

OK,here's how simple it realy is to build Slot Cars from model kits(KitBashing)

That really is the one that would tempt me back into 1/24 racing! Beautiful. I'd love to see one with one of your classy brassy chassis underneath it too, Al.
And then there's all those beautiful Tamiya kits...
But I'd have to buy a bigger house.

Paint the rear wing?
Why?
Isn't it moulded in white, and also supposed to be white?

Yes on both counts, but,I have already painted the body with Tamiya white paint, and I don't want a plasticy looking wing on my nice white painted car.
