3 pin to Scaley Jack

1956 Views 14 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  slik
Is there an adaptor which I can plug my 3 pin plug into and then has a jack to fit a scaley sport power base? I want to use my Parma controller at home aswell as the club but I dont want to keep re-wiring it to fit different plugs.

Any advice?

Hi LMP

If you do decide to make an adaptor, the easiest way is to get a scalex controller, open it up and take the wire out and fit a three pin plug to the other end. That way you get an adaptor and extension lead all in one!

My Parma's are wired with XLR connectors for my home track but I had to make a converter to use them on other home tracks.

QUOTE Do you mean socket?

Ooops.. yes.
Well spotted that man!

I was guessing that LMP might have an unused Sport controller or two lying around and putting the socket on the end where the resistor used to be (once disassembled) would be easier than soldering up a scaley compatable plug in place of the 3 pin already attached that he is reluctant to swap.

Ugly but functional.

As an aside, wouldn't the plug (three pin, XLR, Scaley,etc...) you have as the permanent attachment on your controller pretty much depend on what you use the most?
