300SP 1/24th Policar set

Here is a rather rare 1/24th scale Policar 300 SP set made in 1967. I got the set without the cars but I had the correct cars already. The set never came with a transformer. It is a huge box and not in the greatest shape. But it is a important set to have for the museum. I have not seen one so there can't be many out there.

Nice one Bernard.

Do you know if Policar made other sets with 1/24 vac-formed cars?

The one with the hard-body Dino and Alfa seems relatively common (but only relatively), but not this one...

Great set! The controller handles look like K&B clones and one has to look twice to the track sections to make sure that they are not Revell stuff!

Very nice track. Very different from the rest of the (old) Policar/Polistil stuffs.
That's the "Vintage Track" at our club:

Only 1/24 vintage cars allowed!

Wow, nice looking track.

How long is it, and where in Italy are you located? Also, is the slot in the 1/24 Policar track deep enough for normal guides?

It's about 20mt long and it's located in Rezzato in BresciaCorseSlot Club ( http://www.bresciacorseslot.it )

The slot is more than 8mm deep BUT, since the space between rails are really wide, 1/24 guides are ok, but "normal guides" for 1/32 cars are sometimes unsuitable. The closest match guide/track are Carrera cars (guide) and the NEW Thunderslot guide for carrera/wooden track.

@SAMPSON: Good catch.

It's a quite rare track with a slight different math/geometry compared to the well known Polistil track of the 70's. It seems made for clubs instead for home use. There are also banked curves.
