About a year ago the very first Finnish Vintage 1:32 slotcar race was arranged and since then we have raced twice a year. Although slotcar racing was pretty popular even in Finland on 70´s or 80´s it should not be taken for granted that the cars had survived up to this date (especially on these latitudes). Due these new events many slightly forgotten car has found a new life as a racecar again rather than a dusty memory of its better days.
And of cource in addition to our own cars ebay has been a great help and very many interesting newcomers were introduced yesterday. My Airfix manufactured Alfa Romeo 250F (from ebay.uk) single seater was one of them. And some of the cars that were not able to run on last event (such as Scalextric Sigma prototype) had their new chance!
27 heats with touring cars, GT cars, prototypes and single seaters took place and about 100 pictures were captured!
