alright alright calm down!
In Wrexham's first enduro in many years the new kids took the crown!
Yup you got it! Team Eastcote took an early lead while the home team managed to snatch 3 from 2 so after the first hour Eastcote in Frist with Pendle in second, Home team in 3rd and Wolverhampton in 4th.
With a lane change a rethink the cars were racing again and once again Eastcote took the lead btu this time the Home team retained 2nd with Pendle and wolverhampton 3rd and 4th respectively.
After the words lunch was mentioned the track cleared and a loud crunching of crisps was heard once again fro the 3rd hour Team Eastcote ran away, partly due to good ole' mooster running into the now tyre eating ninco M3 and putting it out of the running, was propmtly repaired but lost time because of poor gear mesh, enter M3 #2, the ortmann tyres were swapped over and off goes the back up car, now well behind the criminal Eastcote team, however Pendle were colose enough to catch, once again Eastcote took the win and with them a 40 lap advantage into the last round with Wrexham in second followed by Pendle and Wolverhampton.
leg 4 was when the M3's shone, with the Eastcote Fly Evo RS' over powered and struggling on green, Wrexham were able to get away, good old Inte here got about 11 of the 40 laps back however by the time I had finished driving the rear left was starting to break up, with rr3.9 and Phil now left ot run, 40 minutes of gritted teeth and nail bitten fingers was the case as the M3 became more and more biased to the rear left, having Mooster in hysterics and Grah1 looking smug, it carried on, wearing proximately 2/3rds of the tyre away, with only 2-3mm of rubber left before the rim was meeting the track
this time Pendle followed Wrexham's lead and shuffled into a comfortable 2nd leaving Eastcote in 3rd and Wolverhampton in 4th.
Now was the test of time for Mr Ortmann's tyres, can they last 4 5 lap sprint races with just 2-3mm of rubber left? well we never found out as I switched them to opposite sides to prevent problems, top manager/mechanic of the day was I with Roley (Eastcote) in second, I think Jim (Pendle) took 3rd with Cooke (Wolverhampton) in 4th learning to drive with a thumb controller.
the over all results were :-
Eastcote 1st - Mooster and Roley
Wrexham 2nd - Inte rr3.9 and Phil
Pendle 3rd - Grah1, pendle lads and Jim
Wolverhampton 4th - Wolverhampton lads and Cooke
all in all a good day, so does this mean Moo has lost his magnet man reputation? well we dont know that's up to you!
Thanks to you all for coming and racing
