Just to remind everyone the new season starts on 5th January according to the CHORC calander

THIS IS A WEEK EARLIER THAN LAST YEAR

There's also been other changes too, the normal mixed class where you can run any make of CHORC legal car and all the different chassis race together is now the norm for all year, any CHORC legal chassis can be used in ANY Championship round.
And for anyone who didn't attend the xmas bash, we now have a new lap counting system...looks very smart indeed

This is what we can look forward to for the first race

looks impressive, over 150 feet long and many curves

Tonight's the night guys, new computerized lap counting and new cars and a tricky track, should be fun

Now I'm just hoping my new Sprint car motor comes today and that I have time to fit it

There's only four SQUIRMS, one of them is likely to be a four hour endurance ,but as we don't know which one yet they're all down as SQUIRMS, as soon as more details are available I'll adjust the calendar.

3 out of the SQUIRMS count, so by missing January it doesn't matter too much

QUOTE (montoya1 @ 6 Jan 2012, 13:30) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>SCHORC are on the rise, looks as if CHORC are too,

It's early days yet, a quick look through the records, and if we go on actually attendees and not proxy's I believe we had 13 for the first meeting last year so we're only one up this year, if we're one up every meeting then that's a different matter

I still think more could be done to get the word around, especially up North; we really need (in my opinion) these sorts of numbers all through the year and especially on Saturday meetings

I think the word of mouth is the biggest thing at CHORC, maybe we should be having more presence on the internet too, few of us post either here or on FB; we generally don't look interested enough, which makes it difficult getting anyone else interested

Hi Paul,

Just checked back into this thread after a week or so and I was very interested to see your onboard footage...apart from the wiggle section which made me feel a little sick!!

I was just wondering which car you'd mounted the camera on and if you had any static shots of it? I have a couple of the keyring cameras and was thinking of doing something similar although I am struggling to get the cheap pieces of carp working!

On the subject of building your numbers, I think it is a shame that your guys aren't chatting on here as I love the knowledge sharing and learning we all do on here. Plus as Deane would say, the banter!

I noticed in your Feb thread that the only car which isn't allowed silicone tyres is the SG+. Is it really that dominant still?

Cheers

Gareth

It was mounted on a truck, and no I don't have any pics of it. I think it was just taped on.

I think there's plenty read the threads and, shall I say, take note of what gets said

Not really, but silicones can't be allowed because the cars have to be standard and to run silicones the rear wheels would have to be changed (and that would be a really big deal
), but it's OK to do other things to the cars that makes them un-standard, like SRT's are allowed the stronger magnets for example.
The car to have now seems to be the SRT, exactly how many are running original SRT chassis' or standard magnets and magnet holder I've no idea
