I'm interested in building a 1/32 or 1/24 scale Gurney slot car and I'm having trouble locating a suitable kit/body/anything to get going with.

Can someone give me some clues on where to get a moulded (injected or resin) body?
I've got a vac formed 1/24 scale on order, but I'm also looking for a hard body version as well.

I believe Scalextric did the GP Porsche quite a while ago, but I was hoping to get something with a bit more detail if possible.

TIA.

Hi Steve,
As John says Airfix did a Porsche 804 in their early RTR series.
It's a little bit 'Chunky', in order to fit around a '60s size motor, but can be made into a pretty good model.
The Scalextrix model is really not very good at all.
This is my version of the Airfix car on a scratch built chassis.

The Airfix cars can be picked up easily and cheaply on ebay uk.

Dave Jones aslo does a superb fibre glass body for this car.Link

Cheers.

QUOTE Nice Porsche ****, that would do nicely.
Any chance of a look at your chassis?
Hi Steve,
Brass and wire with a rattle plate underneath.
Motor is a shortened Scaleauto fitted with a Proslot Euro endbell.

There are more pictures of this and other cars in my gallery.
Cheers.
