You ain't in thickie mode chum!

I'm truing some tyres on an Audi LMP for a chum at Oakalnds Park.

He picked up the car on eBay and knows nothing about it other than the fact that it doesn't run very well.

I've notice this leaf spring set up on the audi and I've no idea how it works, how it adjusts or why it is what it is?

Can anyone enlighten us because I don't understand.

I'd like to hand the car back to my chum nicely sorted.

Can anyone advise?

QUOTE (stoner @ 5 Apr 2014, 07:55) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I,m with mrrc, on this one. they can be made to work well, but you need to file the motorpod-chassis to start with, so you,ve got no rub points. the series of holes along the leaf spring is where you put the grubscrew to alter spring tension.

I've already dremeled out the rub points and I was quite disappointed with the fit quality of the parts.

I'd also worked out that the grub screw holes adjust spring tension too.

But is it really a matter of trial and error. Seems to me that if avant slot build a car like this they should at least provide some guidance on how the set up changes with adjustment.
