QUOTE (Dave Sykes @ 26 Feb 2012, 10:28) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Now that is what Scalextric needed to produce. a banked oval that fits back in to the box perhaps with a cross over or two or digital. Perfect
With a bit of effort, a banked figure of eight might be able to fit in the box - but ofcourse it would reduce the garage space (which has proven to be the more popular game) and wouldn't be associated with Lightning McQueen quite so well.

Having said that, when he moves up to a full size bed I think we could come up with something really interesting. More height to play with as well as a larger area...

we had the same problem here. no control over the electric cars/more interest in the normal infield and garage cars.........then after years of not racing the bigger track....... and me I like that banked oval a lot! very cool to run that Bernoulli F1 as well.hope he starts with the electric sesion sooner or later coz its loads of fun with the kids!

Oh yes, I'll also be shamelessly copying this idea in a year or so. Groomi it's a fantastic little track you've made for the little chap.
Lucky boy & lucky Daddy!
