I've harboured passion for Porsche's way of doing things down many decades, and continue to marvel at the many Porsche slot cars we can buy, or build, that make our hobby such an enormously interesting pleasure.

This thread, I hope, will result in 'everything' Porsche - your models, photographs, memories and yarns. And anything else, of course.

All contributions will be of great interest, as usual, and I, therefore, thank you in advance.

A few pics below to start the ball rolling.

How did this thread pass me by? Probably because I don't have much to add. There are a ton of super nice cars on this thread!

Here goes my nothing. :geek:

Thank you very kindly, Chappy.

The car below was the inspiration for the colour and build. Pic colours are somewhat open to interpretation.

I may have one or two more of these fine cars. This one is my favorite club racer.

The only street legal Porsche 917 in the world. Meet Count Gregorio Rossi.

Count Gregorio Rossi's road car was a silver 917. Made by Fly. Add red wheels and you're almost done.

Count Gregorio's street car did not have tail fins. That's not to say if wasn't fitted with fins for racing after it stopped going for groceries or going back and forth to work every day.

I wonder what the insurance rates are for a 917? Can't be cheap.

For your viewing pleasure.

917 reproduction so good. Porsche grabbed one for their own display.

If you like the 411. You should see the 911. It's five numbers higher and better than a 411. :D

Mind you with the right wheels, and in a nice colour. A 1972 411 can be made to look okay.

Oops! You meant that new Porsche concept car? No thank you. ;)

I have a slot car of the Ford Fairlane in the background! :D

Oops. My humble apologies. That didn't help much.

If it's cheesy chrome you want. HO has everyone beat. They hang well in a Christmas tree.

Pardon me for possibly showing this car 100-pages ago. I can't possibly search 112 pages to see if I did.

But seeing RikoRocket's 550 Porsche Spyder made me do it.

Nice car RikoRocket! ;)

Chappy,

Thank you very kindly.

Tamiya light metallic blue. The colour was based on the following car.

Laurence,

Beautiful artwork!!!

Speaking of space... Chuck Norris's roundhouse kick is so powerful. The shockwave can be seen with the naked eye from outer space. :)

I just bought them both. But I look forward to driving them like a rental car! :D

We have a stock SRC/Fly/Scalex Classic LeMans class. We can upgrade to aluminum wheels. urethane tires, and Slot.It gears (same ratio). A very fun class indeed!

Motor at the front. Transmission at the back. Who knew?

I have a friend that is umm... let's call him frugal to be polite.

Many years ago I got a nice bottle of cologne from him. The fad at the time was Hugo Boss. I showed it to my wife and said something to the effect "Isn't this expensive?".

She looked at it and burst out laughing. The box was beautiful blue chrome with amazing bright silver lettering. It looked expensive. But it said "Hugo Boos". I could not stop laughing once she pointed it out.

Every once in a while my wife wears perfume before going out to a formal event. I ask "Is that Hugo Boos?". It gets a chuckle every time. :D
