A Porsche thread

I've harboured passion for Porsche's way of doing things down many decades, and continue to marvel at the many Porsche slot cars we can buy, or build, that make our hobby such an enormously interesting pleasure.

This thread, I hope, will result in 'everything' Porsche - your models, photographs, memories and yarns. And anything else, of course.

All contributions will be of great interest, as usual, and I, therefore, thank you in advance.

A few pics below to start the ball rolling.

Take no notice, André. Plastic fools are always inebriated on my grog. Might join 'em later.
One would like to think it's only cola but knowing Laurence's lot it probably a very strong German larger 😉

Just for the sake of recording history, you might like to make a pencil note that Captain Haddock has just dipped his toe in a glass of diluted dry sherry, just to understand what it tastes like. If, indeed, it has taste.

He'd never heard of such a scurrilous concoction, and is now enjoying a tantrum because the Scotch trough is not to be filled until later. Tough!

Reminds me of a certain uncle... less said the better... as per...

And the time came for the 356 3dp, which I love because IMHO look very close to the Ninco released but with the 3dp these little cars have a better performance and handling, allowing to fit powerfull motors and smaller wheels with racing Slicks!

Here my whole bunch of 3dp bullets...

I agree....once you have one, it's very difficult to stop. They are easy builds and very pleasant to drive.

Those are rare cars.
As far as I know there are only 2 black ones and 2 white ones. You have the other black one, only one white missing in this tread.
The Martini has run for thousands of laps on my Slotfire, a joy to run after I enlarged the inner wheel arches a bit.

Funny is that most of them where bought from the Racer website for EUR 59,99 a piece :)

There’s also a set a 5 colored ones, there should still be a tread here in this forum. Regretfully I missed out, at that time i couldn’t spent 300 because of SHMBO :(

I’ll need to return this one to stock. I had no idea how rare this one was.

Just had a count up and it comes to just over 54 slot cars, across the scales, at least 10 bodykits or kits awaiting to be made up and about six diecast models. Not bad for someone who's not really in to Porsche cars 😇 😉
