This is a Flyslot Porsche 997. This is one of 2 liveries they did which had a sound device installed to replicate the sound of the 1:1 cars engine. It sounds good to me. Not the fastest but sufficiently quick for me. View attachment 284169

It's amazing how good some of the older slotcars look when re-done with the right wheels, stance, paint and detailing.

A 550 Porsche racing a Klemm aeroplane, below. This age-old tradition seems to have died in recent years. I imagine there must be a way of replicating such events in the slotting world. A radio-controlled chopper, for example?

Might add a different dimension to club racing, perhaps.

This one is sort of 914 and Carrera 6 isn’t it? Odd design, but nice.

The 2000 GT GS pre dates the 904 and 906. Worth looking it up if you have time.

Below, the finned version of the 718 RSK driven by Harry Schell and Paul Frere at the Nurburgring in 1958, and my slot model of similar. Still can't decide if the model is so dismally scruffy that it needs to be repainted.

The 1954 550 'hump-back' is another Porsche I've never seen modelled as a slot car.
