Interesting Airfix photo, thank you @Trisha . I believe I have one downstairs somewhere, from the old mists before the Fly versions were widely available.
Someday.....although I have seen a 3DP file as well....and possible customization beckons.....
An Airfix or 3DP version of the late Count Gregorio Rossi's roadgoing 917 might be one for you to consider. A magnificent addition to the car park next to the paddock, perhaps.
A photo at the Rapp Motor Works (later BMW) during WW1 showing Porsche-designed Austro-Daimler V8 aero engines (left) and straight-6 RMW aero engines (right). Magnificent power units.
The other day 3 Porsches arrived. It was a good day.
The 1st is a Fly 997 RSR Road car.
The 2nd is a Fly Joest Porsche test car from around 1996, possibly. This has better detailing then the red car I posted previously.
The 3rd is a Sideways Porsche 935 K2.
Love your new 997. Thanks for the picture. Hadn't seen one previously. Stunning in black. The racing cars are also very nice, of course, but the black road car really stands out.
I'm intrigued by the Martini 911 Trisha. I suspect it to be Ninco but then think it may be Fly.
The 997 Road car was not a model I was aware of until I saw it on Phil Smith's website around 2 weeks ago and I immediately liked it. Sadly it doesn't have the sound device of the racing car.
Yes chaps it's a Ninco 911 that used to go very well. Regrettably, the motor's dead, and the spare one is too big to fit the chassis, so I'll try and find a replacement at Gaydon.
