It greatly amuses me these days that a massive jackpot lottery win of, for example, £150 millions, isn' t sufficient to buy my top five cars designed by Porsche. Daunting.

My old slotting chum, Nicholas, and I often discuss our top 5 racing cars, racing bikes, aeroplanes, boats, impressionist paintings, sculptures, manufacturers of pies, chip shops, clocks, watches, fountain pens, agreeable people, disagreeable people, and the rest.

Your views, chaps? Could you buy 'appiness with £150 millions? Daft question but ne'er mind.
150 millions would put me in partnership with some clients to keep money coming and left me enough time to enjoy slot cars, build a dream club track and travel the world … and buy a black 911/930 😀

One very well know that money is not equal to happiness. Even if I donated 140 million to charity I would still be able to life a fantastic life :)
And that‘s even peanuts compared to the donations that the ex-wife of Amazon founder Besos did this year: 8 billion!

Maybe donate 130 and use 10 million for a gentlemen‘s racing team so to play with a 1:1 scale Porsche ;)

Thanks to you again, Chappyman. I've been sitting happily at the Mess this afternoon enjoying lap after lap with sundry cars. Wash my mouth out with soap and water, even a Tipo 33 was relieved of its box at one stage... A fine car!

And then, piles (piles?) of Beetles and Porsches went round and round until the rabble complained, and the electric telephone made that infernal ringing sound. No Thank you! I'm too old for holidays in Greenland, and prefer Scotch without ice. Au revoir.

A plastic fool below who, in a terrible fit of suffocating laughter, fell to the ground after learning that little Bernie was recently spotted removing money from one of his own pockets...

Chris Perry is the founder of Autotrader.com and his personal collection is housed in a private museum near me. He often opens it to the public for local fundraisers. Although I have not been fortunate to visit in person, I thought I would share these photos from Our State magazine.

A 910 I acquired yesterday that broke one of its rear wheels first time out around the Mess. How much better it looks with its two gold-coloured replacements. Naturally, the front wheels will now have to be repainted to match.

Think I'll repaint the body as well. I'm rather taken with the German registered road going 1:1 of this car in Viper Green that can be seen on YouTube in a short clip narrated by Vic Elford.

If you have time is there a chance, please, of a few more photographs, from different angles, of your 907 above? A rather super build deserving of more of an airing in my view.

Ah - you’ve caught me out! It’s not properly finished. I just did a trial fit to see if it went together, then couldn’t resist a quick run without magnets. It went surprisingly well despite the lack of exhaust and the driver slumped over the wheel.
Hopefully I’ll get it finished this week if I can resist the temptation to start all the new projects I got at Gaydon…..
