I've harboured passion for Porsche's way of doing things down many decades, and continue to marvel at the many Porsche slot cars we can buy, or build, that make our hobby such an enormously interesting pleasure.

This thread, I hope, will result in 'everything' Porsche - your models, photographs, memories and yarns. And anything else, of course.

All contributions will be of great interest, as usual, and I, therefore, thank you in advance.

A few pics below to start the ball rolling.

A stroke of luck, indeed, Daniel. Just a suggestion but you might like to consider doing the Senna car from the Nurburgring, 1984. Ayrton shared the car with Henri Pescarolo and Stefan Johansson and finished 8th overall.

Has the #7 Takata/Blaupunkt been reproduced by any slot brand ? I don’t have the info at hand but I don’t remember that Slot it released it🤔 , nevertheless a paintjob would be great😀
I don't think Slot It did either of them, Daniel. An ideal opportunity for you, therefore, to fill in this gap. Looking forward to seeing your progress with the white kits.

You know something Laurence , the Senna/Pescarolo/Johansson definitely is a must livery as I love all Senna cars😀

So one kit will be the Lemans Winner and the other the 1000 km Nurburgring 1984 car.

I’ll post them as the project advances. Thanks for the heads up on the Nurburgring car!🙂

You're welcome, Daniel. Just glad I managed to find a pic of the Senna Nurburgring car. I remember Le Mans, 1985, in particular so well. The Joest New Man 956 just kept going for lap after lap, defying the fuel-limiting regulations. It sounded as healthy and fit at the end as it did at the start. Later, I managed to persuade Reinhold to autograph a photo I took of the car at Le Mans and, as you might imagine, it's among many treasured possessions.

Again, I'm greatly looking forward to your builds, which will look extremely well in photos with the other additions to your layout.

Slot.it did the Toyota version, not the Porsche. But of course the file is there..... calling.

The problem with having so much projects at once is that sometimes you don’t have time to advance all at the same time😅

We had Ford vs Ferrari, but now we can have Porsche vs Ferrari 😉

The 906LH is on its way, decided to pick one of the Lemans 1966 (I believe there were three oficial cars, but none won, this was 4th but I’m not sure if overall or within its class), though I’m not sure if they raced in the same class as the GT40 and the P3, the 250 is just there for the picture , but will post it in the Ferrari thread.

Slowly but surely will get them finished!😅

I am having a hard time deciding whether to do paint or decal on mine but you have helped me decide. Looks good so far.

Daniel,

906/6 LH were 4th #30, 5th #31, 6th #32 and 906/6 #58 was 7th all overall classifications and the LH were also 1st , 2nd and 3rd in their class and #58 was 1st in it's class. They were the only finishers in their classes and four of only fifteen finishers. The LH cars were also 1st, 2nd and 4th in the index of performance.

Thanks Keith, it’s always nice to learn something about the motorsport and the history behind it.😀👍🏼
Goodwood members meeting this weekend, it's starts on a live stream at 9:20 Saturday morning on YouTube.
Amongst the racing highlights is a track demo of 20 956/962s, three of which have been sent over by Porsche, a certain D Bell is driving one of them.

An interesting example of a modified lightweight Porsche 911 with more holes than a Swiss cheese (plus some other nice examples of various Porsche 1:1 models).

As I'm doing a bit more work on my website I thought I might as well work on the Porsche parts of the site and at the same time post some more cars here. I've just had to scroll through all 62 pages to see what I had and hadn't posted o_O so I don't post anymore duplicates.

What year they were released? They look really vintage, I’ll look forward to watch the build process, 😉👍🏼

Daniel the red packaging MRRC German releases were still available until a couple of years ago. The Black and Gold Clubman Special is from around 2000. The model was originally released by Monogram in the 1960's and MRRC Jersey did a deal with Monogram that got them a few of the old Monogram bodies remoulded and they supplied Monogram with chassis, which is why you will find what look like MRRC cars in Monogram boxes.

Now for some real cars taken at a few resent historic events
