A Porsche thread
I've harboured passion for Porsche's way of doing things down many decades, and continue to marvel at the many Porsche slot cars we can buy, or build, that make our hobby such an enormously interesting pleasure.
This thread, I hope, will result in 'everything' Porsche - your models, photographs, memories and yarns. And anything else, of course.

Italian engineer Valerio Colotti (of gearbox fame) and Jenks were about the same height - normal height according to Jenks - and are seen here outside Gear Speed Developments. The company was started by Colotti and Stirling Moss's faithful mechanic, Alf Francis.
Valerie also designed the chassis for Jean Behra's F2 Porsche that started life as an RSK sports car.

The silver car below, with rear head fairing, belonged to Rolf Goetze who, with Richard von Frankenberg and Paul Straehle, claimed several new 2-litre speed records at Monza in the Spring of 1957.
I've just got a feeling that your bodyshell - a really nice moulding - has to be in silver, therefore.

A Gaydon purchase, I find myself in possession of yet another '69 917LH. Few would ever agree but I've regarded these original 917s as being among the most beautiful sports racing cars of all time. A landmark milestone car, it was certainly beleaguered by teething problems, but changed sports car thinking for all time.
