Always loved the 73 Mary Stuart RSRs then the 74 martini turbos, developing the tech ready for the 1976 group 5 935,saw it at Silverstone that year, when the clutch gave way at the start, after fixing it they used the rest of the time as a test session, must say great as the flat nose is I preffered the version with the production front wings.

I can see maybe why - plenty of sturdy-looking structure around the driver! Quite a contrast with typical cars of the era immediately before.

The large triangle 917 looks very attractive I think, it was shown at an event in a hotel in Park lane London ,then shortly afterwards the Earls court motor show in Autumn 1969, the famous pic at Earls court has the obligatory pretty young girl sitting on the car, frightening to think she's probably in her late seventies now.
