Here's the slot version of the Earl's Court '69 show car. A pair of shiny new 'urethanes fitted a few minutes ago, so it might actually complete a lap or two without sliding awf, which will be nice.

The Maglioli/Barth 718 was the first RSK to appear at Le Mans (in 1957). In Maglioli's hands it managed one lap at an everage speed of 112mph, which was nearly as fast as the leading D-Type Jaguar. Regrettably, the Porsche retired.

Lowered the front end of this 917 today. It's a footling job I've been meaning to do for months, as the car's gormless appearance was a source of annoyance. What a huge difference a couple of millimetres can make.

I can only shake my head in despair with a look of incredulity at this report Laurence.

I think it is a sign of the times and sadly the shape of things to come.

It is little wonder "hacks" make such ill informed comments because they didn't search hard enough for the truth or the facts. They may even re write history and tell us Porsche never existed!!

As one famous person is purported to have uttered in times of old,

"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do", (or in this case say)
(Luke 23:34).

We are left with few other options.
