My latest, although I do like the 917/10

A white Panamera eh? Love that car Laurence👍🏼Modern Porsches but will they ever appeal as slot cars? View attachment 320966 View attachment 320967 View attachment 320968 View attachment 320969 View attachment 320970

Thats why RB are some of the coolest liveries in all classes of Motorsport! Just hope that the animal defenders don’t boicot the RB factories because of the bulls 😅They're a complex mess to disguise the fact that no commercial sponsorship exists anymore.
Cigarettes were replaced by banks, which went bust. Banks were replaced by telecommunications companies, which then devoured each other and, thanks to the Internet, became content providers rather than investors in other people's content.
These days we're back to the 1960s in that it's OEM supply partners defensively spending money to show faith in their manufacturer relationships. You've got your fuel company, your lubricants, your spark plugs, brake linings, cybersecurity and whatever else all taking a financial hit on their earnings from the relationship in order to promote it through the sport because no other b*gger is interested.
Maybe a Slot it motor would suit it fine…Cheers Dave, its sidewinder normal gears. I just realised that although it was sold by Fly and came in a Fly box with Fly on the chasssis, its not Fly. It has grubscrew front axle height adjusters like slot.it, not seen those on Fly. Tyres are not Fly, wheels wrong size.
Its physically identical to the Falcon 924GTP from a couple of years ago. Same wheels, same half opened windows etc etc etc
So the motor is likely to be not Fly as well, explaining the lack of brakes.
Project for tomorrow...
Read somewhere that the cost of producing this car was bigger than the revenues of the sales, is this true?Still one of the world's best road cars all these years later. View attachment 323353
Had that same Porsche a few years ago, but give it away to a mate that wanted it so much, never to find another one for me 🥲After having been awoken at 4am by a thunderstorm, I went a-mooching 'smorn and found this NSR 917. I'd put it in a box and had completely forgotten about it. It's never been used, which is probably contrary to section 1 of the 'Crimes Involving Shelf Queens Act, 1960,' and if it isn't, it probably should be. View attachment 323370 View attachment 323371
Ah well, something to which I can look forward after qualy for the US GP.
I think this was made by Slot it already, just not sure about the car number🤔Another Slot It livery that should be produced in my view. I'm a bit of a sucker for gold-coloured cars. View attachment 323486 View attachment 323487
What was the distance between P1 &P2? ,but even on a close battle I think it would be difficult to judge, as what is a big distance, tenths, seconds? After all the “almost beat you” is trivial in any race.1970 Monza 1000km. No match at all…..?

I understand Senna said that 🙂second position is first loser I think.
I know it’s endurance and probably a lap is not “much”, but even in 1:32 it’s hard to say it’s a close result, Imho. The Panzer won by one minute and twenty six seconds, FL went to the winner as a1:25.2, so basically was just under a lap ahead at the flag.
I love the idea of homologation WEC/IMSA not just in 1:1 but in 1:32 😀👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼With the WEC next year it's going to be a game of cat n mouse, show your hand toooooo early and you get BOPped, but Le Man's may be double points, so if you have a steady run until there and then win at LM you've probably made up the points missed by sandbagging in the earlier rounds.
There was a time when the best car won, subject to not hitting bad luck.
Will the fact that some car models will run in IMSA as well as WEC speed up their development/ reliability despite having the specification /homologation frozen.
It looks great for a failed attempt Laurence, did it make it to the track or just drawings?Porsche's failed Indycar project. View attachment 326146 View attachment 326147 ì
