Here is a quick guide of how I chipped one of my Start LeMans cars

Here is you START Car

Take it apart

I use a chip from a donor Porsche Boxster Car

By using this method it is just a case of swapping out the components

So start by removing everthing from the START car

Replace the motor first

In the START Car there is a nice hole for the LED

Carefully adjust the LED so it fits into the hole and note where the CHIP would sit

Next Cut Off the little points

Then CUT Out the the area where the CHIP would sit ( Be careful you lot as you need to use a knife for this part )

Plug in the GLUE Gun to warmup ( I go this one in poundland
)

Put some GLUE in the area where the chip will sit

Stick the chip in the gap you cut out ontop of the glue

One thing you need to do is adjust the BRAIDS The FIRST photo shows how they normaly come and The SECOND How you change it too

One other thing you need to do is remove the wheel and put the wires under the axel

Replace the wheel and this is what it should look like

Hot Glue the MOTOR in and ADD some weight in the FRONT

Put it back together

And underneath all is neat and tidy

Should take you about 15 mins
Have Fun

It handles great

But then again we run on a routed track

Also a little weight was added to keep the nose down in the slot under acceleration as we don't run with magnets

Michael

Ps we are under 15 mins from the tunnel if you fancy comming down

It was in the box all the time and now you have it back

If you have the bits I can do your start car for you

And tune your Aston aswell

After running these last club night All I can say is how good they ran on our track

For a car that you can do for under £20 it was faster than the Scalextric Aston Martin Lola

This is looking to be a great class
